Boxing Behind Bars

23-year-old female boxer “Siriporn Taweesuk”, a.k.a. “Black Rose” is still serving her 10-year jail term in prison. With 2 more years to serve, she might gain instant freedom if she wins a world title fight, as she needs to be freed to defend her title overseas. “Boxing Behind Bars” is the story of two Thai female convicts, who are vying to be the first Thai female boxer to clinch a professional world boxing title. One of them is fighting from within the prison walls for a pardon on her jail sentence and the other is fighting for freedom from poverty and discrimination from outside the prison walls. It is a story of their most difficult fight to a new life free from poverty, discrimination and personal redemption.
