THREESIXZERO PRODUCTIONS
Established in 2001 by New York Festival Finalists Han Kwang Wei and Ng Hwee Hoon, Threesixzero Productions Pte Ltd specialize in the production of factual programs. It produces on average 80 hours of TV programs per year for major networks and channels like Mediacorp, Arts Central, National Geographic Channel and Discovery Channel. These programs range from social documentaries to travelogues to arts and cultural documentaries and food programs. Many of these programs have garnered international awards.
The founders of Threesixzero Han Kwang Wei and Ng Hwee Hoon have collectively more than twenty years of TV and Film production experiences. Han and Ng started as Current Affairs Producers with Singapore Broadcasting Corporation back in the early 1990s.
Both Han and Ng have garnered more than 30 awards for their documentary and current affairs productions.
Han shot to fame with his critically acclaimed documentary “Tales of Darkness: Teenage Prostitutes” which won the Best Documentary Award in 1997. His story on prison in-mates “Behind Bars” won the Best Feature in 1998. Han was also the runner-up in Best Direction at the 2001 Asia TV Technical and Creative Awards for his documentary “Hungry Ghosts of the Chinese World”, a documentary commissioned by National Geographic Channel. His other documentary “Hanging by the Threads” was a Finalist at the prestigious 2001 New York TV Festival. It also won the Best Editing award at the 2001 Asia TV Technical and Creative Award. Ng’s poignant portrayal of the under privileged also won her a Finalist award at the same festival.
In 2003 Threesixzero Productions signed an exclusive agreement with SPH Mediaworks to produce 80 hours of TV content, a milestone in recognition of the company’s quality and creative works.
With its unique access to Greater China and Asia, it is the company’s goal to explore the dynamism of the diverse cultures in this region and make quality programs that are of the highest standard.
